How can you prevent Hypoglycaemia?
à Always check your blood glucose as much as possible. Serious side effects (unconsciousness) à always carry a special kit of glucagons. This counteracts the effect of insulin and so increases your sugar. In the unfortunate event that you are unconsciousness, someone can give you the sugar you need. Do not try and take anything by mouth at this stage, as you need immediate and rapid treatment.
