IS IT ALL IN THE MIND?

Sometimes, psychological impotence is the result of relationship problems. It may occur because sexual interest in your partner has declined or it may happen early on in the relationship due to anxiety or nerves.

To overcome this problem, suggest activities that both you and your partner find arousing. The crucial thing is not what you do but the fact that you can discuss it together. Remember, it's a mutual problem and one that needs to be shared.

Your doctor may recommend sex therapy and will help you to arrange this. Don't be shy, as a sex therapist can help to dispel this problem that causes intense shame to many men.

Don't put off seeing your doctor because you're embarrassed. Impotence is a common and distressing problem, which you can get help for.
